What do you mean by Landmarks helped people of old to understand their property rights, boundries and inheritance. A thief would move the landmarks in order to encroach on somebody else's land. In the spiritual realm, the old landmarks are those old doctrines that showed us our GREAT and VAST spiritual inheritance. The show us how to live divine, spiritual lives. 2 Peter 1:4 ...by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having ESCAPED the corruption that is in the world through lust. Today's average Christian lives like a spiritual pauper. Powerless and ineffectual. New Testament saints, like the Apostle Paul and Stephen the first martyr walked in the power of the Holy Ghost. What has happened to us? When we come to Christ, we are taught a jungle of man-made traditions and doctrines while the old landmarks of holiness and divinity are never mentioned. You hear about pre-trib, post-trib, dispensationalism, etc. but you don't hear much about unction, sanctification, consecration, fasting, etc. An enemy hath done this. Satan has cast down the old landmarks one-by-one with the willing consent of a compromising and worldly church. Our inheritance has been taken from us by craft. We have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. The power of God is tangible. It can be felt but in this world, you rarely experience it coming off of Christians. The true Christian church has almost completely lost its way. It has been severely compromised and bears almost no resemblance to the primitive church. Then we make excuses for why we do not look like the primitive church. If I did not know the power of the Lord, I'd be overwhelmed. Our fathers in the faith have set landmarks to show us the way, but those landmarks have been cast down one by one--our Christian inheritance has been taken from us by craft. it's time to rebuild... I began to walk with Jesus in 1991 and I believe it has taken me too long to learn about doctrines such as sanctification. Instead of trying to pound a "pre-tribulation rapture theory" in my head, somebody should have been pounding the Bible doctrines of sanctification and consecration in my head. Yet all is not lost. The heaven-sent, ancient doctrines and landmarks which our fathers have set are not destroyed. Admittedly, these altars have been pushed aside, cast down, and forgotten by most, but those of us that have some understanding shall be like Elijah-- I Kings 18:30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. The purpose of this website is to help others to get on the way of understanding. I perceive that there are not too many professed Christians that would enjoy a website like this one. It is designed for those who are moving on to perfection. For those who watch hell-i-vision, think modern Bible versions are okay, think Catholics are Christians, believe in evolution, etc. I suggest that you try www.jesus-is-lord.co.za. This website is for students of the Booke (King James 1611) who seek to glorify the name and doctrine of Jesus Christ at all times. For those that know the Booke and are SEVERED from this world (Leviticus 20:26), there will be things here to help you. To others who persist in worldliness, heavenly things will remain a mystery to you. You will find old writings on this website. I look forward to sharing especially powerful excerpts to explain the various old landmarks of doctrine. I do not read much contemporary writing. Contemporary man seems to have too much Redskins and Dallas Cowboys in his mind. Too much levity when the things of God are sober, deep and convicting. The Lord leads me BACK to the old divines. God is the ANCIENT of days and I have to go down ANCIENT paths to know Him. I go BACK to find revelation, confirmation, and explanations of phenomena that are occuring in my life. It has been an astounding journey. I like to drink deeply from the deep wells of the olde divines. They had an unction to expound the scriptures. They go way past the superficial thinkers of today. They being dead, yet speak. Please join me on a journey into the old things. Let us be salt and light as we repair the old altars and rebuild the old landmarks which our fathers have set. Let us teach them to our children and to our acquaintance. As we swim through these high and holy things, we will begin to smell of heaven. Let us talk of divine things...Let us be partakers of the divine nature...As we take heed to these things, we will look more and more like our blessed Lord Jesus Christ, ...the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting.
